Knowing gear wear is often complex for maintenance teams. It is generally limited to tracking vibrations which are only the consequence of the problems and not the source.
The objectives of our training plan are to develop know-how in the management of the wear of rotating tubes :
- Demystifying gear operation and wear: details of 12 key parameters (including gear offset, pressure angle, conduct report
…), steel treatment (CTR , through-hardened) - Understanding the link between profile deformation and vibration
- Control gear wear to increase equipment life
- Wear rate measured on site to within 0.05 mm
- Classification of the profile deformation (green, yellow, red, black)
- Efficiently deal with the requirements of plain and rolling bearings (bearing scraping)
- Discuss the choice of lubricant and type of lubrication
- Learn what types of checks should be performed to define the level of wear
Acquire know-how to anticipate breakage and avoid production losses
